Is Zing! kid friendly?
Yes! We love children! Zing! a friendly and welcoming environment for kids.
What is the youngest age you recommend that kids learn Table Tennis?
Depending upon the focus and maturity of your child they can start learning as early as six years old. The size and weight of a paddle are much more suited to their size and strength than a tennis racquet. And table tennis teaches skills that can be transfered to many other sports.
There are basic skills that younger children can practice such as balancing a ball on the paddle, or bouncing the ball and catching it, then learning to do multiple hits.
One consideration: kids need to be able to see over the 30″ high table and if you request it, we’ll provide guidance on how to make a small table for home inexpensively.
Also, since almost all kids love the excitement of hitting a ball, by all means, bring them at any age to play with you.
Can kids go to Zing! alone?
While we love children they must be accompanied by an adult unless they are in a group program. See our Policies for detailed information or call us.
