Pickleball

Welcome to Pickleball at Zing!

Zing! Pickleball friends,

Based upon a rapidly accumulating body of compelling evidence about the need for social distancing to limit Covid-19 spread, I’ve decided to close Zing! for group events and guest play through at least Tuesday Noon March 24th – and possibly later.
The earliest Pickleball sessions could resume is Sunday night March 29th.
Here’s a link to a compelling letter from a physician involved with the Harvard health system that crystallized my decision:
The bottom line: Social distancing now (including business closure) will strongly affect the overall number of infections, the national/international death rate, and the ability of our health care system to deal with these issues.
For those who have made payment, we can hold your payments as credits or I’ll provide a refund. I’ll also be posting an update here on ZingTT.com/Pickleball on Monday night, 3/23.
I look forward to welcoming you back when this crisis abates. Don’t hesitate to call Zing! and I’ll get back to you. I’ll check voicemail at least once a day.
All best wishes,
Noel

PICKLEBALL AT ZING! OVERVIEW:

  • Zing! becomes a full-time Pickleball center Sunday night through Tuesday mornings. From Tuesday Noon to Sunday 6:00 PM Zing! transitions to a Table Tennis Center in the same space.

  • League play is scheduled on two courts. Leagues are 2 hours long.
    Skill categories: 1) Novice/Intermediate.  2) Advanced.
Maximum number of players in each league: twelve.

  • At non-league times, book your own private court time including early morning and late evening.
To assure space, give 24 hours advance notice on private court bookings.

  • Only Pickleball lines are marked on the floor, so court boundaries are clear.
Nets set up between the two courts stop balls from crossing over.

  • Play and scoring will follow USAPA rules. A large version of the Rules is posted on Zing!’s wall.
    Download official rules here.

  • Play will run as “winners stay and split”- the two winning team members continue to a next match, each with a new partner.

  • Join a league as a single member. Or better: join with a group of your friends.
